Luola Events – The world-famous cave (Luola) complex in Punkaharju comes to life.

The famous, man-made cave complex of Punkaharju, where was held art exhibitions for almost 30 years starting from 1984, finally comes back to life starting from 16.6.2018. Holiday Resort Harjun Portti and Keiku Ry (organizer of Puruvesi Pop festival) have made a rental agreement in April 2018 with the cave complex owner for organizing events, concerts and festivals on a regular basis throughout the year in the cave´s Kalliosali concert area. The companies will make the events under the common brand of Luola Events.

A unique 5000m2 cave complex
Over 5000m2 of caves, total lenght 1,3 km. Rich history and overall millions of visitors in the cave complex throughout the decades. Concert area 30 m underground with sculptures visible reminding of the earlier art exhibitions. The cave complex truly is a unique space for all sorts of events in Punkaharju. There is 1000 seats in the concert area, restaurant business will in start focus to beverage & alcohol sales.

First events
There first event takes place on 16.6.2018 with an evening concert that is part of the “Käkipäivät” summer event. Famous finnish band Egotrippi and a local band called Trees will be taking the stage. Tickets ordered in advance are 22€ + possible service fee of 2,5€ Tickets purchased at the door are 25€ Online sales through Tiketti. Starting from fall 2018 it will be possible to rent the concert area for private use, such as banquet for min. 100 persons. Luola Events also has a goal to get the whole 1,3 km cave complex for event use during 2019.
